barKoder SDK version 1.2.0 is released!
We are proud to announce the latest release of our barKoder Software Development Kit (SDK), an update as a result of the need to improve the Data Matrix decoder (way better recognition of poorly printed barcodes), addition of a few new symbologies (code 32 and Telepen) and improvement of false reads for UPC-E barcodes. We also added a new revolutionary template for multiple barcode scanning called Batch MultiScan, a feature we tend to improve even more in future versions.
With the release of the new version of barKoder SDK we also updated the Barcode Scanner by barKoder demo app on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
Key Highlights of the new release:
- Added support for decoding Code 2 of 5 (Standard/Industrial 2 of 5), Interleaved 2 of 5, ITF 14, IATA 2 of 5, Matrix 2 of 5, Datalogic 2 of 5, COOP 2 of 5, Code 32 (Italian Pharmacode) and Telepen barcode types;
- Massive improvements to the existing Data Matrix decoding engine!
- Added an option to enable/disable “Expand to UPC-A” property for UPC-E and UPC-E1 barcode types;
- Every template now has its own settings. For every template or scan mode, you can change the default settings;
- “Show region of interest” setting is now replaced by “Enable region of interest”. If the region of interest is enabled it will be shown as part of the scanning screen;
- You can now reset all settings to default by tapping on the “Reset config” field in the General settings (demo app related feature);
- The About screen has been completely redesigned (demo app related feature);
- Batch MultiScan has replaced the Continuous template. The barKoder SDK can now scan more than one barcode in a single frame and only the unique results will be shown in one scanning session;
- Various small bug fixes and performance enhancements.
As usual our SDK can be downloaded by visiting our repository . Register today to grab the SDK and a limited 30-day trial license that will enable you to test the capabilities of our mobile barcode scanner SDK without getting partially obfuscated results.
