Frequently asked questions

Is the QR code generator free?

Yes, it is free to use, with no sign-up.

Do the QR codes expire?

No. They are static codes, so they keep working as long as the content they point to exists. They can’t be edited or tracked.

Which file format do I get?

A PNG image in three sizes, or an SVG file that scales to any size for print.

Is anything sent to a server?

No. The QR code is drawn in your browser, so your Wi-Fi password, contact details and logo stay on your device.

Will a QR code with a logo still scan?

Yes. With a logo the code uses the highest error correction (H), which still reads with up to about 30% of it covered; the logo takes much less. Test it with the free scanner before you print.
