Cross-Platform Barcode Scanner SDK
Integrate barKoder into Flutter, React Native, .NET MAUI, Capacitor, Cordova and NativeScript applications using official cross-platform plugins backed by the same barKoder scanning engine.

Each plugin is published by barKoder on the registry your framework already uses and wraps the native Android and iOS SDKs, so scanning results don't depend on the framework you pick. All six are at version 1.7.2 (checked 20 October 2026).
| Framework | Package | Builds for | Documented minimums | Install guide |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Flutter Barcode Scanner SDK | barkoder_flutter on pub.dev | Android, iOS | Flutter 3.7.2, Dart 2.19.2, iOS 15 | Flutter installation |
| React Native Barcode Scanner SDK | barkoder-react-native on npm | Android, iOS | React Native 0.70, React 18.1, Node.js 16, iOS 15 | React Native installation |
| .NET MAUI Barcode Scanner SDK | Plugin.Maui.Barkoder on NuGet | Android, iOS, Windows | .NET 8, iOS 15, Windows 10 (build 17763) | .NET MAUI installation |
| Capacitor Barcode Scanner SDK | barkoder-capacitor on npm | Android, iOS | @capacitor/core 6.0.0, iOS 15 | Capacitor installation |
| Cordova Barcode Scanner SDK | barkoder-cordova on npm | Android, iOS | iOS 15 | Cordova installation |
| NativeScript Barcode Scanner SDK | barkoder-nativescript on npm | Android, iOS | NativeScript runtime 6, iOS 15 | NativeScript installation |
Framework and iOS minimums come from each package's manifest, podspec or bundled iOS frameworks. On Android, the minimum for every framework is Android 5.0 (API 21). Building for iOS needs a Mac with Xcode.
Install commands from the barKoder docs and the package registries. Each plugin then needs a camera usage description in the iOS Info.plist and a license key.
flutter pub add barkoder_flutter
npm install barkoder-react-native
dotnet add package Plugin.Maui.Barkoder --version 1.7.2
npm install barkoder-capacitor
npx cap sync
cordova plugin add barkoder-cordova
npm i barkoder-nativescript
Without a license key the plugins still scan, but results come back marked (Unlicensed) and only partly readable. Get a free trial key before you compare results.
Every plugin supports all the modes below. A ✓ means there is a framework-specific example in the barKoder docs; ✓* means the feature is in that plugin's API reference but has no dedicated example page yet.

The decoder behind every plugin also includes MatrixSight® for damaged QR and Data Matrix codes, PDF417-LineSight®, DeBlur and Segment Decoding®.
Scanning quality is the same in every plugin, so pick the one for the stack your team already ships. Switching frameworks only to get a better scanner gains nothing.
Each plugin follows its framework's conventions, so your team writes scanner code in the language and UI model it already uses. Every plugin has its own section in the barKoder docs with an installation guide, a general example, an API reference and the mode examples listed above.

Flutter, React Native, .NET MAUI, Capacitor, Cordova and NativeScript. Each has an official plugin on pub.dev, npm or NuGet, published by barKoder, with installation guides and examples in the barKoder documentation.
Yes. The plugins wrap the native barKoder Android and iOS SDKs, and on iOS they ship the same Barkoder and BarkoderSDK frameworks as the native SDK, so a Flutter or Cordova app decodes with the same engine as a native Swift or Kotlin app.
The current plugins require iOS 15 or later, as set in their podspecs and bundled frameworks. On Android, every plugin supports Android 5.0 (API 21) and later. Cameras need at least 1280×720.
Yes. Ionic apps on Capacitor use the Capacitor Barcode Scanner SDK. Ionic apps on Cordova use the Cordova Barcode Scanner SDK, and Ionic Angular projects can call it through the @awesome-cordova-plugins/barkoder wrapper.
No. The plugins build for Android and iOS (and Windows for .NET MAUI). To scan inside a browser, use the Web Barcode Scanner SDK, which runs on WebAssembly.
Yes. Plugin.Maui.Barkoder targets .NET 8 for Android, iOS and Windows (Windows 10 build 17763 or later), and the package also includes a Mac Catalyst target. See the .NET MAUI Barcode Scanner SDK page for setup.
None of them scans better than the others, because they share one decoder. Choose the framework your team already uses, then compare results on your own barcodes and devices during the trial.
Yes. A trial license runs for 30 days on up to 25 devices with unlimited scans. Without a key the plugins still scan, but results come back marked (Unlicensed) and only partly readable.
Install the plugin for your framework, test it with a free 30-day trial key, or talk to an SDK expert about your project.
