Our journey began at ManateeWorks, continued through Cognex, and has evolved into a new chapter with barKoder, a company built on deep expertise, innovation, and a shared passion for pushing the limits of computer vision technology.

We’re a close-knit team of engineers, designers, and product specialists who’ve worked side by side for more than a decade. Together, we’ve created some of the industry’s most advanced scanning solutions, and now with barKoder, we combine that experience with startup agility to deliver next-generation tools for developers around the world.

Vangel Ivanov

CEO & Co-Founder

At the helm of barKoder, Vangel brings more than a decade of experience in business development when it come to mobile barcode and OCR technologies. Since founding the company, he has steered its transformation into a global provider of high-performance barcode scanning SDKs, serving industries from logistics and retail to healthcare. Recognized in 2025 by The Founder Square as one of the Top 25 Startup CEOs, he continues to drive innovation and growth with a focus on cross-platform integration, scalable infrastructure and customer-centric solutions

Vladimir Zivkovic

CTO & Co-Founder

CTO and Co-Founder of barKoder, leading the creation and development of the company’s barcode scanning SDK with a focus on speed, accuracy, and performance across all platforms. He works with both low-level and high-level technologies spanning mobile, desktop, and web, combining computer vision and machine learning techniques to continually enhance how barKoder’s scanners see and decode the world. As the head of engineering, Vladimir guides the team in building reliable, high-performance tools that developers can easily integrate and trust.

Vladimir Lazarevski

COO & Co-Founder

As one of the co-founders of barKoder, Vladimir leads the team behind the company’s barcode scanning SDK and app. He oversees the technical direction and plays an active role in development across backend, frontend, and native platforms for Android and iOS. On the backend, Vladimir works with technologies such as Node.js, Python, PHP, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB to build systems that are fast, secure, and scalable. On the frontend, he focuses on creating smooth and efficient interfaces using Vue.js and other modern frameworks that integrate seamlessly with barKoder’s SDK.

iOS Developer

iOS developer specializing in Swift and SwiftUI, dedicated to building intuitive and high-performance apps that follow Apple’s design principles. He applies clean architecture practices and uses technologies such as Combine, MVVM, and dependency injection, alongside thorough testing and CI/CD, to deliver reliable and polished experiences across iPhone and iPad. In addition to his iOS work, Goran also contributes to cross-platform development for the barKoder SDK, working with Flutter, MAUI, and React to ensure a consistent and seamless experience across all platforms.

Android Developer

Android developer specializing in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, focused on building scalable, high-performance apps with clean architecture and an exceptional user experience. He works with MVVM, Coroutines, and dependency injection, supported by strong testing and CI/CD practices, to deliver reliable and accessible mobile solutions. C++ / WASM Developer

C++ developer with 5+ years of experience in low-level programming, and frequiently dealing with challenges in native Linux and Python. Likewise a web developer with 5+ years of experience in creating modern JS SDKs in combination with WebAssembly and providing solutions for computationally demanding tasks, as well as intergration with popular JS frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue and many more.
