They had two mobile applications heavily dependent on barcode scanning (a battery fitment guide and a battery tester app) that were using the Cognex SDK for VIN capture. When Cognex deprecated their SDK and stopped providing updates or support, they were left with a legacy component that couldn’t be sustained long-term.
