Mobexx integrated barKoder into mobXscan, a scanning wedge utility designed to give mobile users barcode-reading functionality without requiring software development or custom integration. Before barKoder, Mobexx had to redevelop the application because the previous supplier’s SDK was no longer available. They had previously used Honeywell’s SwiftDecoder, but support was unavailable, and another option, Viziotix, stopped supplying the solution after the company was sold.
Solution
barKoder provided Mobexx with a high-performance software barcode scanning solution that uses the device camera. The SDK stood out because of its good scanning performance, excellent support, competitive pricing, and the fact that barKoder was easy to work with. This made it a strong fit for mobXscan, where the goal was to offer customers a simple and reliable barcode scanning utility without requiring additional development work.
Result
With barKoder integrated into mobXscan, Mobexx was able to continue offering barcode scanning as part of its product. The solution is currently helping one customer improve their processes, and Mobexx plans to invest further in development, sales, and marketing to expand both sales and functionality. Although no exact performance percentage was provided, the customer highlighted barKoder as a high-performance barcode reading solution and an easy partner to work with.
